Ham radio

I am radio amateur since 1992 but I got my first license in 1994. Since then, I was in 27MHz (CB). Since 1994 I have used several calls: EB4FYN, EC4ALI, EA4ABW and now I am using EA4TV since january 2002.

My activity is mainly DX (long distance communications) in HF/SSB. Sometimes I am also in digital modes such as SSTV, PSK31, MT63, ... but I nearly never do CW so, if you listen my call in CW, it is difficult to say it's me.

Although it is not my main activity as a ham radio, I like electronics, kit, antenas, ...
My biggest project was to build my own transceiver. A kit from Elecraft, the K2, an HF, CW transceiver (3.6MHz - 29MHz) with the SSB extra module.

I also take part in the main contests as a "sport radio" activity.

I usually take part in the main two SSB world contest CQ WPX (March) and the CQ WW (October).

I try to take part with a ham team, as the multi-multi category is the most competitive and funny for me!
